Climate Change and Financial Markets
Since October 2007, we support the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the “Climate Change Finance Forum” in the development of a joint research initiative.

Environmental management of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
From 1998 - 2002, we worked for UNCTAD and the German Ministry of the Environment (BMU) on the topic of “Environmental Management of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)”

Based onI case studies and further investigations the intention of the German government and German industry was to develop a voluntary agreement for the World Summit in Johannesburg in September 2002. The signing of the final document failed in May 2002.

- Member of the expert group "Corporate Responsibility" to the German Council for Sustainable Development (2006)
- Expert/ peer review for the study on the effects of the new recycling economy law by the Fraunhofer Institute Freising and respectively the European regulation of Scrapped Car Recycling on behalf of manufacturers and suppliers of the German automotive industry VKE / FAT (2001-2004). Joint review with Dr. Rainer Grießhammer, Öko-Institut – Institute for Applied Ecology . The report can be requested at the VKE.

On behalf of the VCI (German chemical industry association), we evaluated the effectiveness and efficiency of voluntary agreements in the chemical industry, and derived a number of benefiting factors. (1999-2001)

Our applied research on sustainable development and management issues is based on a theoretical analysis of modern economy and society. To better understand the problems of sustainable development it is necessary to analyse the dynamics of the monetary system.
